How to Get Your Offer Accepted

Are you tired of writing three, four, five or even six offers on different homes before your client's offer gets accepted?

Changing your strategy can save your time and help your clients making a move!

Four easy ways can improve your changed for actually getting an offer accepted, especially when you are in a multiple offer area like here in Snohomish County or bid in a competitive price range.

  • Set expectations: Be honest with your client and set the right expectations. This is especially important when you are writing an offer in a competitive price range. Let them know that it could take two, three or four offers before actually getting one accepted. Having realistic expectations in important so your clients don't get discouraged when their offer will not be accepted.

  • Get out there: Don't make your client uncomfortable by forcing them to text you about houses they want to see. Go ahead and contact them about possible properties and showings. Make yourself accessible or use your showing partner, if you have one.

  • Get them underwritten: Demand that your clients get fully underwritten. A pre-approval won't help you to get your offer accepted fast and close faster. Underwriting means less surprises for the client, less headache for you as an agent and a real benefit for the seller, what makes your offer stand out way better!

  • Don't be half hearted: Have hard conversations about expectations before actually writing an offer. Tell your client what it takes to get an offer on the home they love the most accepted. Don’t write a halfhearted offer that you know won't be accepted.
