WEEKLY SCHEDULE FOR REALTORS
As realtors, we ALWAYS have a lot on our minds. Structuring the work load with a daily schedule, morning routine, night routine, weekly routine is a great idea - but everyone and their mother will have an opinion about what to do, when… Here, we share some battle-proven strategies from a business owner and mother of three.
How CAN you use your time most efficiently when you are self-employed and/or working in real estate?
One thing that will make your week easier: Front load your schedule. For me, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my longest days working often 14 or more hours. (you read that right!) Making these days a little longer and being a little more productive enables me to be ready for the weekend as soon as those Friday feels start hitting (and you know they do!) On the weekends I work, I may block out one more evening during the week to spend quality time with my family.
Creating rocks in your schedule is another great way to make sure you have enough time for kids, family, your spouse, significant other, friends, your dog and everything else important in your life! What is a rock? A non-negotiable appointment with someone or doing something you care about.
With such a busy lifestyle it’s important to create enough time outside of work to make sure you can handle this crazy workload for an extended amount of time. If it’s something to do with your kids a couple of times a week or you don’t want to miss a dance or jiu jitsu class: Put these appointments in your calendar and make them non-negotiable.
Utilizing your leveraged time is probably the hardest thing to do. No matter if you have kids or someone who takes care of your dog or helps around the house: Use this time that you are paying someone else to create even more business for yourself and generate more income for your family. Don’t waste that time. Even if a nap might sound promising… (and hey, if you can squeeze one in, why not?)
All of this becomes a lot easier when it's structured and you're surrounded with like-minded people.
